Dr. Hinkley was born and raised in Cambridge, OH graduating in 1973. He earned a B.S in Microbiology from The Ohio State University in 1977.  Dr. Hinkley continued his education at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where he was awarded a U.S. Navy dental scholarship.  After graduation in 1980, Dr. Hinkley went on active duty in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps where he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Norfolk, VA.  While practicing general dentistry in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Hinkley became interested in endodontics.  After completing his commitment to the U.S. Navy in 1983 he returned to The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and entered the two-year advanced graduate Endodontic Residency.  Dr. Hinkley continued to serve in the U.S. Naval Reserve until 1992 when he was honorable discharge as a Lieutenant Commander. Upon graduation in 1985 and receiving his certificate in Endodontics and M.S., Dr. Hinkley started the first private practice office specializing in root canal treatment in Springfield, Ohio.

Dr. Hinkley has been married to his wife Debbie since 1977 and they have four children.  When Dr. Hinkley is not treating patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and skiing.

Dr. Adam Hinkley is a graduate of Ohio University earning a BBA in Business and The Ohio State University College of Dentistry for his DDS.  Dr. Hinkley was fortunate to provide to dental care to veterans by completing an Advanced Education of General Dentistry one-year post-doctoral program at the Dayton VA hospital.  Following several years of practicing general dentistry in Central Ohio, Dr. Hinkley decided to pursue specialty training in Endodontics and earned his MS in Endodontics from University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida

Away from the office Dr. Hinkley enjoys staying active outdoors, golfing, following all sports, and spending time with his wife Katie, and three young children.
